Lievin (on a jet plane) & Lilac & so much more

The title was supposed to be funny--that is, if "Lievin" is pronounced like "leaving"!!
Anyway, tons of stuff to report, so let's get to it!!

At a Clemson meet, Randolph Ross sped a 400 in 44.83, goof for 6th A-T US, and 7th A-T World!
Abby Steiner's 22.37 is a Collegiate Record, and makes her 2nd A-T US, and 5th A-T World!
(My notes say this was an American Record, but might have been a mistake, so for now, I'll just note the time!)
Speaking of Steiner, her Kentucky 4 X 400 squad ran 3:27.27, making them 4th A-T School!
Texas was 2nd in 3:28.05, with South Carolina taking 3rd in 3:29.36!
Tripp Piperi's 70-4.25 took the SP!
Alexis Holmes's 400 of 51.27 makes her 21st A-T Collegiate, and 24th A-T US!

But maybe the best marks came in the 60H for Women!
After a heat of 7.86, Danielle Williams sped the final in 7.75!!
This makes her 11th A-T World, tied with 2 others!
Taking 2nd was Paula Salmon, whose 7.83 made her 3rd A-T Collegiate, and 12th A-T US, tied with 5 others!
Taken OFF the World list was the inimitable Jackie Joyner-Kersee!
Her 7.81 dated from 1989!!

Seattle does have an OT, but their field event marks are all valid!
Alina McDonald PV'ed 15-1 there!
And Hana Moll cleared 14-6.25, but in a different section!
Daniel Haugh's WT measured 81-9.50, but wasn't a PR!
Shey Taiwo's 82-7.75 was, however!
It makes her 2nd A-T Collegiate, and 3rd A-T on both the US and World lists!
As a bonus, she nabs the Age 22 Record!!
Janeah Stewart was a solid but far back 2nd, reaching 78-8.25!

What I thought was an enroute time for Moad Zahafi was not!!
His 800 in 1:46.29 was a separate race!
The Texas race makes him 21st A-T Collegiate!
That other race was a 1000 in 2:19.99!
It makes him 9th A-T Collegiate!

In a New Mexico meet, Lamara Distin High Jumped 6-3.50!
This makes her 16th A-T Collegiate, tied with a gang of 5 others!
Josefini Eriksen ran the 600 in 1:28.27, making her 19th A-T Collegiate!
And Charokee Young--a rising star at Texas A&M in Athing Mu's wake--ran a 400 in 51.24, making her 21st A-T Collegiate!

The new Spokane venue gave us the Lilac Grand Prix meet, with a pair of results well worth mentioning!!
Donavan Brazier blazed his 600 in 1:13.97!
This gave him the Age 24 Record!
Isaiah Harris's 1:14.95 in 2nd makes him 3rd A-T US, and 4th A-T World!!

Then the newly formed club called Nike Union AC broke the "World Record" (not officially recognized!) for the Distance Medley Relay!
Their 10:39.91 took less than a second from the old mark!
This blog counts it as the World and American Records!!
The splits were 3:16.61 for Ella Donaghu, 52.68 for Raevyn Rogers, 2:02.89 for Sinclaire Johnson, and 4:28.33 for the Shannon Osika anchor!
However, those splits don't add up to the final time--off by 0.60!!
But I'm guessing they're close!

Before we move to France (Lievin), let's check in on the HS crowd!!
Their performances are fast moving into Collegiate territory, per their quality!

Autumn Wilson's 60 in 7.28 makes her 16th A-T HS, tied with 2 others!
Emma Gates HJ'ed 6-0!
James Donahue's 800 in 1:50.34 makes him 10th A-T HS!
Rheinhardt Harrison ran a Mile in 4:01.15, making him 7th A-T HS!
Mezzi Stiff (A different kind of name, but tres cool!!) had a SP mark of 51-10.75!
It ranks her 16th A-T HS!
Wyatt Stewart's PV of 17-7 makes him 9th A-T HS, tied with 2 others!

Yet another Oversize Track mark left OFF any official list, and ineligible for any record!
Pioneer (Michigan) HS ran the DMR in 11:21.95 on an OT in their home state!!
But no HSR, and no list notation!!
Sad.

Ellie Shea got the Soph Class Record with her Mile of 4:40.01!!
It ranks 12th A-T HS!
Knocked FROM my HS list was Suzy Favor-Hamilton!
Her 4:44.2 was from 1986!

For some reason, I really didn't expect Lievin to be so good--but it was, and in almost every event!!
Including a World Record!!
Jakob Ingebrigtsen took off from the gun and never looked back!
His 3:30.60 over the 1500 distance broke his own National Record of Norway, and gave him the Age 21 Record!
Sam Tefera's 3:33.70 was a far back, but quality 2nd!

Grant Holloway ran his heat in 7.40, then broke it open in the final with his 7.35!
This breaks his own Age 24 Record!

The distances for both sexes were good!
(Besides Inge's WR!!)
Gudef Tsegay fell in the early going, but recovered to take the Mile in 4:21.72!
This ranks her 12th A-T World!
Axumawit Embaye took 2nd in 4:25.30!

Samuel Zeleke won it in 4:57.00, making him 15th A-T World!
Abel Kipsang kept it tight, his 4:57.21 making him 18th A-T World!
Azashine Habz (sp??) ran 4:57.22, making him 19th A-T World, and giving him the National Record of France!!

Selemon Barega was 2nd in 7:30.66!
Then came Getnet Wale in 7:30.88!
Birhanu Yehualaw (??) ran 7:31.77, breaking his own NR of Bahrain!
It makes him 16th A-T World!
Andreas Almgren was 5th in 7:34.31, giving him Sweden's National Record!!
Natoya Goule won the 800 in 1:58.46, breaking her own National Record of Jamaica!
It makes her 23rd A-T World!
In 2nd came Halimah Nakaayi's 1:58.48!
This is the National Record of Uganda!!

Lamont Jacobs has become a force to be reckoned with!
His 6.50 easily won the 60!
But 2nd isn't always a loser!
Not at least for Ferdinand Omwurwa, whose 6.57 is the National Record of Kenya!!
Lazaro Martinez took the TJ with his 56-5.75!
Yulimar Rojas took a break from the TJ, winning the LJ with 22-4.25!

The Pole Vaults were solid!
Chris Nilsen and 19-4.75 are becoming like twins!!
Yes, another one!
The Women were led by Anzhelika Sidorova's 15-11.
This gave her the Age 30 Record!
Iryna Zhuk took 2nd with 15-9!
This broke her own NR of Belarus!
And it made her 16th A-T World, tied with 1 other!
Also clearing 15-9 was Katie Nageotte in 3rd!

Europe gave us several other marks worth noting!
Chase Ealey had a SP of 63-0 in Sweden!
Abraham Seme ran the Two Mile (unusual outside the US!!) in 8:25.41 in Germany!
Sara Kuivista got Finland's National Record with her 800 in 2:02.64!
Pal Lillefosse flew over 19-1.50 in the PV to break his own National Record of Norway!
No NR (or even PR!), but KC Lightfoot's PV of 19-6.25 was rock solid!

A meet in the Netherlands had some good marks!
Jessica Schilder got the National Record of the Netherlands with her SP of 63-2.25!
Eleanor Patterson nabbed Australia's NR with her HJ clearance of 6-6.25!
Sang Woo of South Korea reached 7-8.50 in the HJ!

In the Czech Republic, Jiri Sykora PR'ed in the Heptathlon with 6020 points!
Dorota Shrivonova took the Pentathlon with 4560 points!

Valeriy Proonkin (sp??) won the Hammer Throw (held OUTdoors, of course!!) with 266-2!
He defeated Andrey Romanov, who threw 262-5!
Jimima Montez won a 20000 meter Walk in 1:27:27, giving her Australia's National Record!!

I'll close with a few miscellaneous marks--
Ajee Wilson won a 600 in 1:25.59, beating Charlene Lipsey's 1:27.36!
Alex Amankwah took a 600 in 1:15.78!
He misses the World list by just 0.08 seconds!
Don't know her first name, but a woman with the last name of MacKay ran a 1500 in 4:13.14, making her 14th A-T Collegiate!

See you soon-ish with much more INdoor news!!
