2022 NCAA INdoor Championships

 Welcome to my blog's report on the 2022 NCAA INdoor Championships!
This is a combined Men's and Women's post!
Two Collegiate Records were broken, while another was tied!
Many Class Records went down, and there were tons of marks making my Collegiate lists, as well as many improving on marks already listed!

Julien Alfred--a relative newcomer--ran a Collegiate Record 7.04 in her 60 HEAT!!
It's also the Meet Record, the Junior Class Record, as well as the National Record of Saint Lucia!
Also in heats, Jadyn Mays timed 7.09!
It's the Frosh Class Record, and makes her 18th A-T Collegiate, tied with 4 others!
Better known as a hurdler, Grace Stark's 7.10 makes her 23rd A-T Collegiate, tied with 5 others!
The final went to Melissa Jefferson's 7.09!
It's the Soph Class Record, and makes her 18th A-T Collegiate, tied with 5 others!
Abby Steiner ran 7.10 for 2nd, making her 24th A-T Collegiate, tied with 1 other!
Alfred ran just 7.15, ending 5th!!

Jasmine Moore doubled, Triple Jumping a Collegiate Record 47-9.75!
She also gets the Meet Record and the Soph Class Record!
It makes her 3rd A-T US!
Natricia Hooper's 45-10.75 took 2nd, while Charisma Taylor took 3rd with 45-9.75!
This makes Taylor 17th A-T Collegiate!
Moore and Monae Nichols both LJ'ed 21-6.75, with Jasmine getting the win!

Grace Stark tied the Collegiate Record with her 60H of 7.78!
She gets the Meet Record also!
She's 6th A-T US, and 18th A-T World, tied with 2 others!
She'd run 7.83 in her heat!
Alia Armstrong ran her heat in 7.86, but was DQ'ed in the final!

Shey Taiwo came within a quarter inch of the Collegiate Record with her WT measuring 83-10!!
It's 2nd A-T Collegiate, and 3rd A-T on both the US and World lists!!
And it breaks her own Age 22 Record!!
Jasmine Mitchell finished exactly 2 feet behind her, but her 81-10 ranks her 3rd A-T Collegiate, and 5th A-T on both the US and World lists!!
Camryn Rogers got the NR of Canada with her 78-11.25!
She is 10th A-T Collegiate, tied with 1 other.
And she ranks 18th A-T World, tied with 1 other!
Rachel Tanczos reached 75-8 in 4th!

Trey Cunningham sprinted 7.38 over the 60H, getting the Senior Class Record!
This ranks him 2nd A-T Collegiate, 7th A-T US, tied with 2 others, and 10th A-T World, tied with 2 others!
Abby Steiner couldn't quite match her CR run at the SEC's, but her 200 of 22.16 was more than enough to put down the 22.50 by Favour Ofili!
Anania Battle's 22.63 took the 3rd podium spot!

In the Men's 60 heats, Favour Ashe ran 6.51!
This made him 13th A-T Collegiate, tied with 5 others!
But the final was taken by Davonte Burnett's 6.50!
This made him 9th A-T Collegiate, tied with 3 others!
Rikkoi (sp??) Brathwaite ran 6.52 for 2nd, making him 19th A-T Collegiate, tied with 8 others!!

Both DMR's had depth and speed!
Texas took the Men's race with 9:25.20!
Notre Dame was 2nd in 9:25.77, making them 9th A-T School!
(And they didn't need their 352 yard OT to do that!!)
Wisconsin finished just one tick of the watch behind ND, their 9:25.78 making them 10th A-T School!
Princeton ended 4th in 9:26.01, making them 12th A-T School!!

Arkansas won the Women's race in a quick 10:51.37, making them 3rd A-T School!
Stanford's 10:53.37 was 2nd, with 3rd going to Oregon's 10:55.52!
The Ducks Corvallis neighbors--Oregon State--ran 10:58.76 in 4th, making them 19th A-T School!

The Men's 5000 was won by Abdi Nur, his 13:19.01 ranking him 8th A-T Collegiate!
Ky Robinson surprised a bit in 2nd, his 13:20.17 grabbing the Frosh Class Record!
He's now 12th A-T Collegiate!
Nico Young's 13:21.23 gave him 3rd!
He ranks 14th A-T Collegiate, and 23rd A-T US!
Adriaan Wildschutt had the same time as Young, but he was given 4th!
Cole Sprout was 5th in 13:25.67, making him 22nd A-T Collegiate!

Randolph Ross sprinted 2 laps in 44.62, getting him the Junior Class Record!
He ranks 3rd A-T on all the lists--Collegiate, US, and the World!!
Talitha Diggs ran her 2 lapper in 50.98, making her 18th A-T Collegiate, and 19th A-T US!

Rachel Baxter's PV of 15-1.75 topped the Women's event!
She's ranked 5th A-T Collegiate, and 16th A-T US!
Sydney Horn's 14-7.50 in 2nd ranks her 24th A-T Collegiate, tied with 2 others!
Sondre Guttormsen's 18-10.25 won the Men's PV!

Jorinde Van Klinken won the Women's SP with 62-7.25, making her 6th A-T Collegiate!
Turner Washington's SP of 71-0.50 turned back (Sic!) Tripp Piperi's 70-9.75!!
And Vernon Turner (Sic again!!) won the HJ with 7-7.25!
Corvell Todd's 7-6 was 2nd!
Lamara Distin HJ'ed 6-3.50 nabbed the Women's HJ, followed by the 6-2.25 by Tyra Gittens!

Katelyn Tuohy was catching Courtney Wayment in the 5000, but fell short, Wayment winning in 15:30.17!
Tuohy's 15:30.63 took 2nd over the 15:31.06 by Mercy Chelangat!
Lindsey Butler's 2:01.37 won the 800!
In 2nd came Claire Seymour's 2:01.96, which ranks her 14th A-T Collegiate, tied with 1 other!

Tuohy also took 2nd in the 3000, her 8:59.20 falling short of Taylor Roe's 8:58.95!
The 4 X 400 Relays were okay!
Texas's 3:04.55 won for the Men, making them 17th A-T School!
The Women's race went to the 3:27.23 by Arkansas!
Texas was 2nd in 3:28.60!
Kentucky's 3:28.77 was 3rd!

Finally, both Multi's were high quality!
Anna Hall scored 4586 points to win by over 200 points over Duke's Erin Marsh!
Marsh's 4383 ranks her 23rd A-T Collegiate, and 21st A-T US!!
Lexie Keller's 4321 took the Bronze!

Ayden Owens's 6211 just beat the 6200 of Kyle Garland!
In 3rd came Leo Neugebauer's 6148!
This makes him 13th A-T Collegiate!
Andrea Iosivas scored 6069 points in 4th, making him 19th A-T Collegiate!!
