This is my Class Records Preview--for High School!
Next up will be my Class Records for Collegiates. followed by my Age Records Previews!
Then I'll close with my "4 core group" Preview---predicting which World, US, Collegiate, and HSR's have the best (or worst!!) chance of being broken!!
What I will NOT be doing is a Schedule of meets and Road races!!
More on that later!!
For now, let's get to the Class Records!!
Beginning with the 9th Grade, I'll list all the Class Records I have for each Grade!
I will NOT list which mark goes with each event, but these are generally known and recognized!
Then I will name a few athletes who might break some of these records!
However, this names list will be brief, with just the most likely to get the Records listed!
While the OUTdoor season Worldwide opens on January 1st, the focus here is on the domestic US season, beginning with the Texas Relays!
(The TX Relays first day is done, but it was just the first day of each Multi!!
The Records listed are the latest known, as of today!
9th Grade--MEN
10.35, 20.62, 45.23, 1:49.87, 3:53.9, 4:12.21, 8:20.15, 8:53.98, 14:54.87, 32:48.0, 9:16.43, 14.05 (39), 14.71 (42), 37.22, 52.61, 7-1.50, 24-6.75, 49-3.25, 17-4.50, 67-10.25 (12), 49-11.25 (16), 191-8 (HS), 145-4 (Pro), 207-5, 218-8 (HS), 160-2 (Pro), 5982 (Pro)
The Frosh Class HS'ers are the most difficult for me to predict, because I don't follow the Middle Schoolers too closely, and many such athletes make humongous improvements from the 8th to the 9th Grade!!
They almost literally come out of nowhere!!
Thus, for the Men, I don't have any names to offer!
However, the easiest marks--IMHO--are the 5000, 10000, 400H, LJ, TJ, the Pro SP, DT, HT, and the Pro Decathlon!
(NOTE--I list the Pro Decathlon Records only for the Men, meaning they use the Pro weighted implements, and the 110H is for the 42 inch hurdles!)

(NOTE--This should be known to my loyal readers, but a reminder--The 1600 & 3200, or marks converted from them--are NOT included here--just the One and Two Mile!! Also, the Men generally throw HS weighted implements, while the Women throw Pro weighted implements from the 9th Grade on!)

Easiest marks are the Mile, 5000, 10000, SC, PV, SP, JT, and the Heptathlon!
As always, there are generally more names to list for the Women's underclasses, as they seem to improve more rapidly than the Men!

In the 100 & 200, watch for Moforehan Abirusawa!
Kayla Davis is great over the 200 & 400!
Kayla Davis is great over the 200 & 400!
Roisin Willis might break the 800, 1500 & Mile Records!
And Alyssa Jones is good in the LJ!

10.98, 22.43, 51.70, 2:02.29, 4:11.01, 4:33.87, 9:09.71, 9:55.05, 16:24.83, 34:01.1, 10:27.44, 13.01, 40.10, 55.28, 6-3, 21-4.50, 43-7.25, 13-8, 52-4.50, 179-7, 185-8, 192-5, 5170, 5379
Surprisingly, just one name to offer here, but she's a biggie!!
Name is Tamara Davis, and look for the 100 & 200 Records to be challenged!
11th Grade--MEN
10.14, 20.18, 44.99, 1:47.68, 3:39.0, 3:59.0, 8:08.86, 8:29.46, 14:11.2, 29:06.8, 9:03.8, 13.32 (39), 13.74 (42), 35.25, 49.56, 7-6, 26-8.50, 54-10.25, 19-4.25, 74-4.50 (HS), 61-5.50 (16), 222-1 (HS), 192-2 (Pro), 241-11, 260-0 (HS), 210-11 (Pro), 7131
Best bets to go down are the 3000, 5000, 10000, SC, and the HT's
Marcellus Moore and Micah Williams are good bets for the 100, and maybe the 200, but doubtful there!
Brandon Miller might be good for the 800 Record, but I think he skipped INdoors!! Injured??
Cole Sprout is the best Distancer in the 11th Grade, but put him down for the 3000 only!
Then there's Trey Knight!
He's good for BOTH Hammer Throws!!
11th Grade--WOMEN
11,13, 22.58, 50.74, 1:59.51, 4:04.62, 4:37.91, 9:10.51, 10:00.44, 16:24.83, 33:26.63, 10:15.26, 12.89, 40.13, 54.15, 6-5, 21-11, 44-11.75, 14-3, 55-9.25, 185-4, 181-2, 214-4, 5798, 5640
Watch for the 100, 200, Mile, 3000, Two Mile, 5000, 10000, SC, and the PV to fall!
BTW, I haven't been predicting the Decathlon Records to be broken--mainly because they might not even hold the event!! But if they do, watch for all four Class Records to fall, it's such a new event!!
I have LOTS of names here!!
Brianna Williams is VERY good in the short sprints!!
Athing Mu could get the 400, 800, 1500, and the Mile--if she runs the longer distances!
For everything from the 3000 to the 5000 (add the 10000 if they run it!!), watch for Katelyn Tuohy, Katelynn Hart, and Marlee Starliper!
Taylor Ewert might be good for the SC--maybe both distances, but I don't keep Records for the 2000SC!
Then we have Morgan Smalls, who could get the HJ Record!
She's also a good TJ'er, but not yet good enough for this Class Record!
Finally, Monique Hardy is a good Hammer Thrower!
(Other Throwing events??)
12th Grade--MEN
10.00, 20.09, 44.69, 1:46.45, 3:38.26, 3:53.43, 7:59.83, 8:34.40, 13:37.91, 28:32.8, 8:47.04, 13.08 (39), 13.76 (42), 35.02, 49.38, 7-7, 26-10, 53-11.25, 19-10.25, 81-3.50 (12), 67-9 (16), 237-6 (HS), 201-4 (Pro), 255-4, 260-0.50 (HS), 219-7 (Pro), 7524
Best bets to fall come in the 400, Two Mile, and the 110H (Pro)!
Very sorry, but I can't see any Senior Class man now capable of breaking these Records!!
Shock me, Boys!!
12th Grade--WOMEN
11.11, 22.11, 50.69, 2:00.07, 4:08.71, 4:35.24, 9:00.62, 9:51.35, 15:45.46, 32:52.5, 10:00.72, 12.92, 38.90, 53.82, 6-4.25, 22-5, 44-11, 14-7.50, 58-1, 198-8, 180-10, 211-1, 5577, 5676
Kelsey Chmiel looks good for Records from the 3000 through the 5000--with the 10K added if she runs it seriously!
Chloe Cunliffe and Erica Ellis could get the PV mark, while Jasmine Moore is going to chase the TJ Record!
Anna Hall has the best chance for the Heptathlon mark, but don't overlook Sterling Lester!!
I'd wanted to do the Collegiate Class Records here also, but this is too long already!!
So watch for those soon---a few hours!
