John Lennon sang--Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans!
Well, in this particular case, it's not a hospital visit that delayed this post, planned for a few days ago!
No, it was a new HSR in the Women's Pole Vault!
Normally, the INdoor season goes from about December 1st through March 15th!
But Chloe Cunliffe used a Tacoma All-Comers meet to push that date back a bit!
On March 17th, she first broke the INdoor HSR with a clearance of 14-5.25, breaking Tori Weeks (Hoggard) mark of 14-4!
Then she broke her own mark with an incredible push over the bar set at 4.50, or 14-9!!
But she wasn't finished!
She took a pair of attempts at 4.60, or 15-1!!
She missed those, but even a 14-9 coming from a girl whose previous best, INdoors or OUTdoors, was 14-0, it's a shock!
That's a nine inch PR!!
In addition to the HSR, she gets the Senior Class Record, and moves from 7th A-T HS, tied with 1 other, to the Top!
I have a few other marks to report, and will do so at the bottom of this post!!
But now to the Numbers that evolved from this "past" INdoor season!!
How many Records were broken in my 4 core groups?
There were 4 WR's, ALL from the Men!!
They were the 600, 1500, Mile, and the 4 X Mile Relay!
Five American Records fell, 3 for the Men, and a pair from the Women!
They were the 600, 800, and 60H from the Men, and the 600 and 800 from the Women!
The Collegiate crowd produced 4 CR's!
The Men got the 60H, PV, and SP!
The Women's sole CR came in the 1000!
The HSR number is a big NINE
The Men's came mostly in the Relays!
Overall, they got the HSR in the Pro weighted WT,and in the 4X200, 4X400, the 4 X Mile, and the DMR!
The Women's quartet came in the 600, 3000, PV (!!), and the Pentathlon!
I put a lot of emphasis on Meet Records!
So which meets produced the most MR's??
As per normal, the NBIN led the way with 8 of those babies!
The USATF meet was a surprise 2nd, with 6 going down!
The SEC nabbed 4
None got 3, but several broke a pair of MR's!
They were Millrose, Boston, Glasgow, the Big 12 Conference, and the European Championships!!
What about Class Records?
The Men got 9, while the Women broke 13!!
The 9th Grade Men struck out, while the Women broke 4!
The Men got ZERO from their 10th Graders, with the Women getting a pair!
The Men did get an 11th Grade mark, but the Women again outnumbered them , breaking four!!
The sole Senior Class Record for HS'ers went to the Women!!
So the HS'ers were dominated by the Woemen--11 to just one!!
But the Collegiates Gold went to the Men!
The Frosh Class Men got a pair, while the women got NONE!
The Soph Women got one, while the Men struck out!
Junior Men got four, with the Women getting just one!
Senior Men nabbed a pair, with Women getting ZERO!
Age Records?/

Getting one each were the Men's 200, 300, 600, 800, and the PV!
All others got NONE!!
The HJ was first for the Women, with 3 Age Records broken!
