Those DDD's---the Women

The same format applies here.
Event-by-event, with 24th place mark listed (minimum needed to make list), with some names added who might make a list this year or next, and a bit of commentary!

100
World (10.82)  Five got their marks since London OG, with Tori Bowie tying her 2014 PR this year!  Marlies Gohr's 10.81 from 1983 the oldest mark.  Evelyn Ashford's mark is from 1984.
US (10.92)  This list is 27 deep, with 4 tied at 10.92.  Jenna Prandini is one of those at the bottom!  Watch for Hannah Cunliffe & the 2 Pro HS'er's, Kaylin Whitney & Candace Hill.  (Unless Cunliffe moves to Pasta-land, aka Italy!!)
Collegiate (11.08) 26 listed, with 3 tied at 11.08.  Cunliffe's here from 2016 already, and watch for Felicia Brown to follow!  Leader Dawn Sowell's mark is 27 years old!
HS (11.29)  Margaret Bailes's 23rd place mark dates from 1968!!  Chandra Cheeseborough's is from 1976.  Pro's Hill, Whitney, and Khalifa St Fort on this list, but with their AMATEUR marks!!  Allyson Felix is at bottom, tied with Bailes!!

200
World (21.99) 25 on list, with 3 tied at 21.99, including Cheeseborough from 1983!  Ashford's mark is from 1979.  Just 5 from this century, but 2 from last year!!
US (22.23)  Expect Felicia Brown & Cunliffe to make this list--if the latter remains an American!  Hill & Whitney could make this list.  Also Kyra Jefferson!  Ashford again has oldest mark, from 1979!  Six marks total from 2014 & 2015.
Collegiate (22.45)  Cunliffe falls just short of this list!  She'll get on it!  So might Taylor Ellis-Watson, except word is she'll run only the 400 (& Relay) at NCAA's!  7 marks from 2014-2016 period--so far!
HS (23.02)  Whitney & Hill (NOT St Fort!!) on this list with Amateur marks!  Cheeseborough's 22.77 dates from 1975!  But Bailes does her one better, as her 22.95 is from ;68!!  She's still 16th on list!!

400
World (49.32)  Sixteen marks from 20th century!  Only Felix's 49.26 from '15 since London OG!!  Expect Shaunae Miller to make the list!  Maybe Fran McCorory.  Courtney Okolo & Quinera Hayes others to watch for!
US (50.17)  The four 50+'s date from 2000 & earlier!  Shakima Wimbley & Ellis-Watson are possibles this year or next!
Collegiate (50.86)  Seven marks date from 2013 forward!  Lillie Leatherwood has oldest mark, from 1987!  Okolo's CR 0.39 seconds ahead of 2nd on list!
HS (52.19)  Sydney McLaughlin's missing from this list!  So is Sammy Watson!  Seven date from 1972-1982 period!

800
World (1:55.96)  25 on list, with 2 tied at bottom rung!  Caster Semenya's 13th place mark might yet be removed, if IAAF gets some balls!!  She does NOT belong on this list!!  Four marks are from 1976!  Can Genzebe Dibaba get on this list?  What about Ajee Wilson?
US (1:59.00)  Eight of the sub-1:58's date from 20th century!  Kate Grace & Alexa Efraimson ran fast recently, and could make this list.  So might Mary Cain, if she "comes back"!!  Watch for Laura Roesler & Raevyn Rogers too!
Collegiate (2:01.37)  Six marks date since London OG, including Olivia Baker from this year!  A few are close enough to make it, if they don't dawdle at the NCAA's!
HS (2:04.55)  Charlotte Cooke's 2:03.8 dates from 50 years ago!!  Seven other marks date from the '70's!  Efraimson's & Cain's marks date from when they were Amateurs!  Only Christine Aragon (of the fastest 1500 Women--See 1500/Mile!!) has an 800 mark here!

1500 & 1 Mile (NO 1600 marks, or times converted from them!!)
World (3:56.62 & 4:21.13)  Three made the 1500 list last year, with Faith Kipyegon getting close this year!  I include all the Chinese times from 1997 & 1993!!  Except for Dibaba's WR, all of the sub-3:55's date from the last century!  Jenny Simpson, Kipyegon, and Dawit Seyaum could make the 1500 list!  Hoping Ms Dibaba has lots of company when she guns for WR Mile next month!  That list needs MAJOR revision!!
US (4:04.17 & 4:27.68)  Same goes for this Mile list!  Drastic rewrite needed!!  Anyone who can break 4:11 for 1500 could get on this Mile list!!  As late as 2014, Cain's HSR was 24th placer!!  Minimum mark could drop below 4:04 soon!  Jan Merrill's 4:02.61 is from 1976!
Collegiate (4:10.72 & 4:39.89)  The Mile list is embarrassing!!  4:10's worth about 4:28 or faster, so massive Mile revision called for!  Will NCAA rule (See Men's report!) do it next year??  EIGHTEEN Mile marks date from 1979 to 1990!!
HS (4:20.64 & 4:41.31) This could be the "Year of the 1500/Mile", as 4 Women (so far!!) have made Top 8 list!!  (That's right--4 of the Top 8!!)  And watch for Destiny Collins, Sammy Watson, and Stephanie Jenks as strong candidates to join them!!  The Brooks PR and/or NBN races could be DYNO-MITE!!!

3000 & 2 Mile (NO 3200 times, or times converted from them!!)
World (8:26.48 & 9:33.47)  Two Mile list had HUGE revision in 2014, as FOURTEEN of 24 marks date from then---from just 2 races!!  But it's still WAY off what it should be, vis a vis the 3K list!  Dibaba will race a 3K in Monaco!  Hold on to your hats!  Shannon Rowbury & Simpson could make 3000 list!  GD's just 23rd now--but not for long!!  Mary Slaney's AR is 21st!
US (8:43.32 & 10:03.05)  The Deuce list is so piss poor that it includes six HS marks!!  Yet 9 marks date from 2014 & 2015!!  Merrill's 3K mark is from 1978.  Francie Larrieu's 2 Mile is from 1972!  Anyone who can run a 4:45 Mile could probably make the 2 Mile list right now!!  (How many DOZENS of Americans can run that??)
Collegiate (9:07.46)  Collegians don't run the Deuce, and the ENTIRE 3K list dates from 2000 & earlier!!  Should I close down this list??  They race this distance INdoors--Why not OUTdoors??
HS (9:22.68 & 10:12.48)  Lynn Bjorklund's 9:08.6 from 1975 is oldest 3K mark--and the HSR!!  (Cain's mark was as a Pro!)  Julie & Mary Shea make 3000 list!  Bjorklund ran a 10:11.1 Two Mile in 1974!!  Nine Deuces date from 2014 & 2015--again, NO 3200 crap!!

5000 & 10000
World (14:32.74 & 30:26.50)  A Wham-Bam 5000 field is coming to Pre---with visions of HUGE list revisions dancing in my head!!  One can dream, eh?!  I can see Molly Huddle, Rowbury & Simpson as capable of making this list!  Will Pre (or??) set up a similar field for a 10K??  Huddle has a chance to make the 10K list too!
US (15:06.45 & 31:38.71)  Both lists likely to see big revision, although several candidates already on lists!  Eight 5K marks date from 2013 forward, while just 4 10K's date from 2014 forward!  Could be a whole lot more--if they didn't just go for Q times!!
Collegiate (15:29.0 & 32:31.65)  Patti Sue Plumer's is the 5K caboose, dating from 1984.  Only other 20th century mark is Kathy Hayes's 15:23.03 from 1985!  Fourteen 5K's date from this decade!  And 16 of the 25 lappers!  Kara (Wheeler!) Goucher is 23rd on the 5K list, from 2000!!  Three 10K's are from 2016!!
HS (16:33.32 & 36:19.84)  That 10K list is ridiculous!!  It SHOULD be ALL sub-35's!!  Mary Shea's 16:13.7 dates from 1979!  (Same year she ran HSR 32:52.5--TWO 5K's of 16:26 back to back!!)  Twenty of 24 10K's date from 1971 to 1996!

Marathon (World & US only!)
World (2:20:48)  Oldest marks are from 2001.  Fourteen date from 2011 forward!  Deena Kastor's AR still 10th!!  Could see several more changes in the fall!
US (2:28:53)  Unlike World list, US list has TEN marks from 20th century!  Oldest is Patti Catalano's 2:27:51 from 1981.  Huddle will make this list!  Others could--if they run the distance!

3000SC
World (9:16.94)  Fourteen marks from this decade!  Two from 2016--so far!  Oldest from 2002, with next oldest from 2007!
US (9:40.83)  No mark older than 2004!!  Nine date from 2014-2016 period!  Aisha Praught's mark from before her change to Jamaican citizenship!   What MIGHT have been with Jenny Simpson!!
Collegiate (9:48.16)  THREE marks from 2016--so far!!  Five more date from 2015!  Should see more changes at NCAA's!
HS (10:52.92)  This list has just 12 marks!  HS'ers run mostly 2K Steeples--if they run them at all!!  But 6 of those dozen date from 2012 forward!  All it would take is ONE race, with 15 of the HS studs at 1500-5000, and BOOM!, a brand new list!!

100H
World (12.44)  25 on list, with 4 tied at 12.44.   Two marks from 1980.  Just 7 marks date from 2011 forward, with 6 of those by Americans.
US (12.63)  Oldest mark is by Heptathlon WR holder Jackie Joyner-Kersee--her 12.61 from 1988!  Only other mark from last century is one of those 12.63's--from 1998.  Dior Hall should make this list next year!
Collegiate (12.77)  25 on list, with two at 12.77.  Eleven date from 2012 forward!  Jasmine Camacho-Quinn an exciting newcomer!
HS (13.30)  FIVE 2016 marks (so far!!) make this the "Year of the 100H" for HS Women!!  They destroyed the INdoor 60H list, and they're doing the same to the OUTdoor 100H list!  And they ain't finished yet!!  Oh yes, besides those 5 from 2016, there's still 4 from 2015 on this list!!  Tonea Marshall could get the HSR!!

400H
World (53.24)  In a bit of a slump, as newest marks are from 2013.  Shamier Little could make this list.  And in the next 2 years, so can Sydney McLaughlin!!  Oldest mark is from 1986!
US (54.32)  Three made this list in 2015.  HS'er McLaughlin has a real shot THIS year!!  Watch for Jaide Stepter to, um, step up!!  (Pun very much intended!!)
Collegiate (55.04)  That slowest mark is by Kim Batten, from 1992!  Stepter might step in (LOL) here too!!
HS (57.80)  Four made this list last year, and all 4 are at it again this year!!  Debbie Esser's 1975 mark of 57.3 is the oldest!

HJ
World (6-7.50, or 2.02)  There's 28 on this list, with 5 tied at the bottom rung!  As with the Men, this event has gone downhill the past 2 years, as the newest mark is Brigetta Barrett's 6-8.25 from 2013!  (And she's nowhere to be found!!)  But Vashti Cunningham is exciting new blood, and MIGHT make this list THIS year--but surely next year!!  Stefka Kostadinova's WR is now 29 years old!!
US (6-4.25, or 1.94)  The 2 bottom marks are from 1985 & 1990!  But the oldest is Colleen Sommer's 6-6 from 1982.  Cunningham's already on this list, while still in HS.  Her mark came while still an Amateur--though that doesn't matter on this list!!  Liz Patterson is THIS close to making this list!
Collegiate  (6-2.75, or 1.90))  There's a 7 way tie at 23rd, making this list 30 deep!  Three of those marks are from the '80's!  Akela Jones's mark is from 2016!  Three of the top 4 marks are from the '90's!
HS (6-1.25, or 1.86)  Sixteen marks date from the previous century!  26 names fill out this list, with a 4 way tie at the bottom!  Since Cunningham's a Pro, there's NO Women at 6 feet or more!!

LJ
World (23-5.25, or 7.14) Only 2 Americans--Tianna Bartoletta & Brittney Reese--have made this list in this decade!  Eighteen marks date from 1982 to 1998!  But 7.14 is a VERY tough mark!  Watch for Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and maybe Christabel Nettey to make this list!
US (22-5.75, or 6.85)  Interesting to note that 10.80 sprinter Tori Bowie's 22-8 is 16th A-T!!  Kate Hall's HSR from 2015--22-5--misses this list by less than 1 inch!!  But she can make it--as a Georgia Bulldog!  Chaunte Lowe--HJ'er Supreme--is also on this list--just a quarter inch below Bowie!
Collegiate  (22-0.75, or 6.72)  Top 3 marks are from the '80's!  Bowie's on this list too--from 2012!  Hall will make this list!  So should TJ'er Deluxe Keturah Orji, who often doubles!  Bottom 3 marks are from the '90's!!  (Like an Oreo cookie--sort of!!)
HS  (20-10, or 6.35)  This list has 25 names!  The 2 tied at the bottom are from the '80's!  Courtney Corrin's 21-0 from 2013 remains the Frosh Class record!  She hasn't improved on it!

TJ
World (49-2.25, or 14.99)  The WR, and 7 other marks date from the 1990's!  Rising Star Yolimar Rojas should make this list!  The US is pathetic--even (or especially) when considering Orji's recent windy 47-11--which still leaves her over 15 inches short of this list!!
US  (45-5, or 13.84)  Orji's LEGAL mark of 46-6.75 puts her in the Top 10 here!  If that 47-11 hadn't been windy, she would have broken the AR by 6 inches!  Andrea Geubelle is moving up the list after a couple of off years!  But the US is still weak in this event!
Collegiate (45-0.50, or 13.73)  This list has 28 names, with 5 of them tied at the bottom!  Two of those bottom-feeders are from 2016, so that tie could be broken VERY soon!!  Two interesting names here are Blessing Okagbare, better known as a sprinter and LJ'er, and Ineta Radevica, who posed nude for Playboy in 2004!  The latter is 12th A-T, while the former is tied for 20th with 1 other!
HS  (42-7.50, or 12.99)  11th Grader Tara Davis made the list this year.  Titiana Marsh and recent Frosh Class record setter Jasmine Moore are ones to watch!  Better known as a sprinter in her day, Carlette Guidry's 1986 mark is the caboose here!  Wendy Brown, however, has the oldest mark, from 1984!

PV
World  (15-5.75, or 4.72)  FIVE marks from 2016--and 4 more from 2015!  And at least 3 more are lurking just around the bend (of their poles!, ha ha!!)--Wilma Murto, Megan Clark & Lexi Weeks!  Not to mention injured Demi Payne, one of the few 16 footers--albeit INdoors (so far) for her!  And Kylie Hutson--with a 15-5 PR from 2011--has been hitting some 15-plus heights recently!  Add her to the list!!
US (14-10, or 4.52)  Another revolution happening here!  Five from 2016, plus another 3 from 2015!  And a few not far from making it!  Wouldn't be a bit surprised to see this list comprised of ALL 15 footers by year's end!!  The two 14-10's are from 2016, as well as a 14-11 from 2015!  All 3 could be over 15 shortly!
Collegiate (14-6.75, or 4.44)  I'm a broken record in this event!!  Again, 9 from this year & last, with 6 more from 2013 & 2014!!  Somehow, 4 marks from the previous DECADE slipped in there!  And once again, there's several JUST off this list, waiting to pounce!!  However, newest HS 14 footer Rachel Baxter won't be in College until 2018--unless she turns Pro before that!!
HS  (13-7.25, or 4.15)  Here too, there's 13 marks dating from 2013 through this year, with 4 of those from 2016!  Tori & Lexi Weeks combined for 28-8.50 of PV'ing as twin HS'ers!  (Adding only their OUTdoor marks!!)

SP
World (69-7.50, or 21.22)  An extremely catatonic list, as only Valerie Adams is on here since 2000!!  And then, she's at a lowly 23rd position!!  Unless Christina Schwanitz hits a bomb, or Michelle Carter does the same, this list will REMAIN static!!  It may take 2 to 4 more years, but I believe Raven Saunders has a shot to reach these heights!
US (60-6.75, or 18.46)  While not hitting the distances needed for the World list, this list has seen LOTS more activity than the World list has!!  Three marks are from 2016, with 4 more dating from 2015!!  But Maren Seidler remains in the Top 10 from 1979!
Collegiate (58-8.75, or 17.90)  Saunders and Kelsey Card have made the list this year.  Meg Ritchie's 1983 CR might not be long for this world!!  That's this list's oldest mark--by 11 years!
HS (51-10.75, or 15.81)  Ten marks date from 2012 through 2016!  The Women here throw the same weight as the Pro's, which bodes well for the Collegiate scene next year!

DT
World (230-9, or 70.34)  Another inert list!  But Sandra Perkovic and Denia Caballero have made a couple of dents!  But the other 22 marks date from 1976 to 1992!!
US  (200-9, or 61.19)  Very different from the World list, as 2 Women's marks date from 2016, with 4 more from 2014 and 2015!  Lorna Griffin's 207-5 from 1980 is the oldest!!  If the bottom pair can be eliminated, the 24th place mark would shoot up to 203-2!!
Collegiate  (197-5, or 60.18)  Kelsey Card, Hannah Carson, and Tera Novy all have 2016 marks!!  A couple of others are in range!  But all 5 marks over 212-0 are from the 20th century!
HS  (175-8, or 53.55)  Leslie Deniz's mark dates from 1980!  But Elena Bruckner's is from this year!  Just 6 marks from this decade!

JT
World  (215-7, or 65.72)  With the new implement, this is an all-21st century event!  That said, of the Top 5 marks, the newest of those dates from 2011.  Three marks date from 2015.  If Carson continues on her upward spiral, she might make this list in 2017!!  Same with Card!
US (185-8, or 56.60)  The 24th place mark is Madison Wiltrout's HSR from 2015!!  Eleven marks date from the last 3 years--2014-2016!  Maggie Malone & Carson are 2 feet or less from becoming the 5th & 6th 200 footers on the US list!!
Collegiate  (183-8, or 55.99)  FOUR marks from 2016--so far!!  But Wiltrout is still 2 years away from becoming a Collegian--if she can regain her form!!
HS  (162-4, or 49.48)  Sophia Rivera, a multi-implement thrower, has the lone 2016 mark thus far!  (And it's 3rd on the list!!)  The 2 Montgomery's on the list are NOT related!  But Katelyn Gochenour's older sister is up-and-coming Collegiate Heptathlete Alex!!

HT
World  (245-3, or 74.76)  A fairly progressive event, from WR holder Anita Wlodarczyk down to new list entrant Gwen Berry's 2016 PR of 246-5 in 21st place!  Only 1 mark remains from the previous century!  Depth, however, was missing last year, and thus far in 2016!  Maybe Rio will push things forward again!
US  (225-10, or 68.84)  Berry & DeAnna Price make the list this year!  Oldest mark is Dawn Ellerbe's 2001 mark of 231-8.
Collegiate  (220-6, or 67.21)  Price is number 2 now, but the only one from 2016!  Fourteen others join her on the list from this decade!!
HS  (182-0, or 55.48)  Another hot event, the list welcomed 3 so far this year!  Hammer marks from HS'ers don't usually show up strong until season's end, so we may see 1 or 2 more enter the list!

Heptathlon
World   (6702)  KJT should get on the list soon--perhaps at Gotzis!!  Don't be too shocked to see mega-talented Brit Morgan Lake tally up a list-making score!!  That said, the newest mark here is from Brianne Thiesen-Eaton from 2015, and the newest before that was Jessica Ennis-Hill's from 2012!  Ramona Neubert's 6935 score ffom 1983 is the oldest!  Watch for Akela Jones!
US  (6188)  Four marks date from 2015.  And 2 of those still compete Collegiately!!  Barbara Nwaba had the top score in '15 at 6500, but she may not be the best!!  Chaunte Lowe just tried the Hept, but quit after the 1st day, saying she "messed up".  Well, if scoring 3558 points on your 1st day is "messed up", I wonder what a GOOD day is for her!!
Collegiate  (6011)  Eight from 2015, and 1 added this year!  A truly dynamic event for the College gang!!  This year's NCAA should be a doozy!!
HS  (5198)  Eleven from this decade, with the oldest 2 (from 1982 & 1988) heading out the back door in the next couple of years!  Diana & Julie Pickler are sisters, and rank 7th & 10th A-T, respectively, their marks dating from 2001 & 2002!

Relays
World  (43.04 & 3:27.08)  As with the Men, list is Nations only!!
Collegiate  (43.60 & 3:29.41 & 11:09.50 for the DMR)

WHEW!!!!
I'm done????
Yes, wiped out!!
Enjoy!
