WIC Predictions (But no money bet!)

Well, I done dood it!
I gathered my brain, my habit of stepping in doggy do while checking out the pretty girl across the street, and about 3 pounds of courage, and have made my Top 3 picks for the World Indoor Championships.
Without further ado, and with minimal commentary, here they are (in order of place--1st, 2nd, 3rd)).

Men

60          Bracy          Kimmons          Carter
400        Gordon       Santos               Brown (One for us Old Farts!!)
800        Aman          Sowinski           Kszczot
(Symmonds just hasn't shown the record-breaking shape he predicted in December!)
1500      Willis           Kiplagat            Leer
3000      Lagat           Gebrhiwet         Gebremeskel
(Went with Lagat, but NOT just because he's an Old Fart!!  LOL.  And I went against Rupp more because of emotional rather than rational reasons.  I'm just not in Salazar's camp right now!  Though if Mary Cain were running, I'd make an exception for her!!)
60H       Martinot-Legarde     Osaghae     Shubenkov
HJ         Ukhov          Kynard             Barshim
(Wish Bondarenko could be there!!)
LJ         Saladino       Menkov            Li
(Taking a big chance going against Menkov for Gold!)
TJ        Pichardo       Reve                 Carter
PV       Mohr            Broz                  Wojciechowski
(Also wish Lavillenie were there!!)
SP       Whiting          Majewski          Storl
(Picked Majewski over Storl mainly because of home field advantage!)
Hept    Eaton            Warner              Kasyanov
(Will Eaton get the WR??  Meaning his own!!  YES!!  Question is, by how much??)
4X400R   USA        Bahamas            GB

Overall, my picks add up to the following medal count for USA:

Gold        5
Silver       4
Bronze     2

Women

60          Campbell-Brown     Ahoure      Fraser-Pryce
(VCB has more to prove than the others.  SAFP hasn't been like her outdoor self.)
400        McCorory               Miller         George
800        Wilson                     Muir          Price
(All 3 having great seasons!  Should be one of the most competitive races in Sopot!))
1500      Aregawi                   Moser        Kampf
(Would've given Cain even odds with Aregawi!!  BUT......!!  Moser best of rest.  Kampf given 3rd more for sentimentality for Grunewald, who is a fellow Minnesotan with Kampf!)
3000      Dibaba                    Grunewald      Obiri
(Dibaba's a solid lock!  Throw away the key!  Only negative is she's said she's running for the win there, not for time!  As for Gabe, it's part sympathy for her Salazar/USATF ordeal, but part talent.  She HAS what it takes!!)
60H        Pearson                  Ali                 DeLoach Soukup
(Wish Rollins had decided to compete!!)
HJ          Vlasic                     Beitia             Kuchina
(Picked Blanka mainly so I could see her post-win celebration!!  LOVE that gal!!!)
LJ         Johnson-Thompson      Polk           Biryukina
(Picked the Brit out of sympathy for her NOT getting picked for the British Hept squad!!)
TJ         Saladuha                   Koneva         Williams
PV        Rogowska                Suhr               Bleasdale
(Again, home field advantage for the Pole!  Suhr not quite the Suhr of past years!  And wish Isi were there!)
SP        Adams                      Carter             Schwanitz
Pent      Day-Monroe           Theisen-Eaton       Melnichenko
4X400R      USA                 GB                   Russia

Gold               4
Silver              6
Bronze            3

Overall, I've picked 9 Golds, 10 Silvers, and 5 Bronze medals for the US.
Too many?
Too few?

We'll begin finding out just 14.5 hours from right now!!
Next post might not be until the end of the meet on Sunday!
But guaranteed, it will include EVERYTHING you'll want to know about it!!
